Dr. Robert Sumner passed away in December 2016. The Biblical Evangelist newspaper is no longer being published and the ministry of Biblical Evangelism has ceased operation.

Is Our Congress A Bad Influence On Russia?

The other day a couple of Congressmen nearly came to blows when Rep. Pete Stark (D-Calif) said all of the children of Rep J. C. Watts (R-Okla), a strong pro-family voice in the House, were “born out of wedlock!” Whoopee! Watts and his wife have 5 children and only the first was born before they bothered to get married (alas, he does also have an out-of-wedlock child by a woman he didn’t marry, however). In this area he is certainly not much of a “family values” voice! Fellow Congressman Wes Watkins (R-Okla) said he was “stunned and flabbergasted” that the Democrat “would stoop so low.”

Was this bad example why the Russian governing body, the equivalent of our Congress, had a couple of its members literally come to blows a few days after the above incident? Probably not. However, it surely does show the depravity of man, doesn’t it? You may have seen the punches being thrown and landing (unlike our baseball brawls) on the news.
