What The Bible Says About Heaven And Eternity

This is a revised edition of a book first released in 1997. The study is divided into 5 Parts: “What Is Heaven?” (8 chapters); “What Will Heaven Be Like?” (6 chapters); “Who Will Be in Heaven?” (6 chapters); “What Does the Future Hold for Non-Christians?” (9 chapters); and, “What Is the Significance of Heaven for Today?” (4 chapters). The entire book is in “question-and-answer” format, which the authors intended for fast reference and short time periods.

Because they feel pretribulation and premillennial positions offer the best explanations of the prophetic portion of the Word of God, these views are given throughout. The authors believe in a real Heaven that is a real place, not some abstract fantasy land. Yet they are careful to distinguish, in the 500+ places the Bible speaks of heaven, between the atmosphere, the universe and God’s dwelling place. The latter is the emphasis of this book.

Some of the questions given biblical answers are: “What is the relationship between the Millennium and heaven?” “Will we have bodies in heaven?” “Will we have personal identity and recognize others in heaven?” “Is there marriage in heaven?” “What about the concept of soul sleep?” “What happens when infants, children, and others who can’t believe in Jesus Christ die?” “Doesn’t everyone go to heaven?” “Where does the Bible teach about hell?” “What about annihilation?” “What about near-death experiences?” and “How can I be sure I will go to heaven?” There are numerous other questions and answers, of course.

There is also a helpful chart explaining the end-time judgments (there are 7). We are glad to recommend it.
