Dr. Robert Sumner passed away in December 2016. The Biblical Evangelist newspaper is no longer being published and the ministry of Biblical Evangelism has ceased operation.

KREGEL BIBLE HANDBOOK: A Full-Color Guide To Every Book Of The Bible

Originally published in 1982 as Kerr’s Bible Handbook, it is not intended to be a comprehensive volume, but gives the gist of all 66 books plus brief chapters on the Bible, the Old Testament, the Pentateuch, the historical books, the Prophets, between the Testaments, the New Testament, the Gospels, and an Index. The book is replete with photographs, maps and charts scattered throughout in full-color, as the subtitle indicates. Those who have been to the Holy Land will recognize many of the shots.

There is a “study guide outline” for each book, although some are combined into a single outline (as per I, II & III John). For each book the author discusses its theme, distinctive teachings, unique features, historical context and authorship.

The author is well known from a ministry of threescore years, including several institutions of higher learning. He remains Professor Emeritus of Systematic Theology at Western Conservative theological Seminary.
